How to Cook Yang Chow

Yang Chow is Chinese fried rice with shrimp, meat, and vegetables.
Ingredients:
- 100 g shrimp shelled and devein
- 2 stalks green onion (minced)
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
- 1 small carrot (minced)
- 1/2 c sausage or fried pork meat (chopped)
- 3 - 4c cooked rice (left over or refrigerated rice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 tbsp of cooking oil or as many as needed
Cooking Procedure:
Saute Garlic until lightly brown. Fry egg with continuous stirring. once the egg starts to dry up add the shrimp and continue stirring for 30 - 50 more seconds then add the rice. stir and mix the rice, shrimp and egg. Once they have been mixed together add the carrots and meat continue mixing then add the green onion and continue cooking for a few more minutes. add salt and pepper to taste.
For a yellow colored Yang chow you can add "Egg Yellow Food coloring powder"
